When Jeff and Lisa Kinkade are rejected by traditional hospitals,
they turn to the NewGenesis Center for help in seeking a cure
for their son's chronic blood disorder. They are warmly accepted
by the Genesis staff, which offers embryonic selection to
allow the Kinkades to conceive a "spare-parts child,"
but all is not as it seems at the NewGenesis Center.
After Jeff and Lisa move to Georgia, where the NewGenesis
Center is located in a converted antebellum mansion, and their
child is successfully implanted, they begin to suspect that
some of the doctors have more than a medical interest in their
developing child.
This modern biotech thriller will take you on a page-turning
thrill ride through the wonders and dangers of modern reproductive
technology where both the best and worst of human nature is
displayed.
